Omkareshwar: The sacred town of Omkareshwar in Madhya Pradesh witnessed the grand inauguration of a five-day “Ekatma Parv” at the Ekatma Dham. The event, held on the occasion of Acharya Shankar’s birth celebration, was formally inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav in the presence of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Sadananda Saraswati.
The ceremony began with Vedic chants, rituals, and the lighting of lamps, marking the start of a major spiritual and cultural gathering aimed at promoting unity and self-realization.
CM Mohan Yadav Highlights India’s Spiritual Heritage
Addressing the gathering, CM Mohan Yadav described Madhya Pradesh as a land deeply connected with divine heritage. He said that Lord Ram and Lord Krishna’s association with the region reflects its spiritual importance.
He also emphasized that Omkareshwar’s Ekatma Dham commemorates the legacy of Adi Shankaracharya and his philosophy of Advaita Vedanta, which promotes the idea of oneness in existence.

Inauguration of Advait Lok and Akshar Brahma Exhibition
As part of the event, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Advait Lok and Akshar Brahma Exhibition and participated in a yajna ceremony by offering prayers.
The event is being organized by the Acharya Shankar Cultural Unity Trust and the Culture Department of Madhya Pradesh Government, marking the auspicious occasion of Vaishakh Shukla Panchami.
₹2195 Crore Approved for Ekatma Dham Development
A major announcement during the event highlighted the development of a second phase of Ekatma Dham, including the construction of the “Advaita Lok Museum” with a sanctioned budget of ₹2195 crore.
The initiative aims to develop Omkareshwar as a global center of spirituality, philosophy, and cultural unity.
Focus on Advaita Philosophy and Modern Relevance
The “Advaitamritam” dialogue session explored the relevance of Advaita Vedanta in modern times, especially for the younger generation (Gen-Z).
Scholars and saints discussed how the philosophy of non-duality aligns with modern scientific thinking, including concepts in quantum physics and environmental awareness.

Spiritual Leaders Emphasize Unity and Self-Realization
Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Sadananda Saraswati stated that Brahman, God, and the soul are one, and realizing this truth is the highest achievement of human life.
He encouraged people to understand the purpose of life through self-inquiry—“Who am I and what is my goal?”—and emphasized that true liberation comes from spiritual awareness.
CM Mohan Yadav on One-ness and Spiritual Values
CM Yadav also highlighted the philosophy of Ekatmavad (oneness) inspired by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s thoughts. He said that Sanatan culture teaches the values of giving, harmony, and inner peace.
He emphasized that material happiness alone is not enough and that spiritual well-being is essential for a balanced life.
Spiritual Unity Message from Padma Shri Nivedita Bhide
Padma Shri Nivedita Bhide highlighted that unity is the fundamental truth of existence. She explained that just as the human body functions as one despite multiple organs, society too should function in harmony.
She also noted that modern science is increasingly aligning with ancient Vedic knowledge, reinforcing the importance of unity and universal consciousness.
Five-Day Cultural and Spiritual Festival Continues
The Ekatma Parv will continue for five days with various spiritual discourses, cultural programs, and philosophical discussions.
The event aims to spread the message of unity, self-awareness, and Sanatan values while strengthening India’s spiritual and cultural identity through the teachings of Adi Shankaracharya.
